About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Service Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing service and repair, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide high-quality service to our customers. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems while ensuring all work meets local codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment (water, gas, drainage, and waste systems).
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Repair or replace water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, sump pumps, and other plumbing components.
  • Perform service calls, inspections, and preventative maintenance for residential and commercial customers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local plumbing, building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Provide accurate estimates and explain repair options to customers.
  • Collaborate with contractors, builders, and other trades when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on jobs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Train or guide apprentices when needed.
  • Identify potential plumbing issues and recommend preventative maintenance solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Journeyman Plumber license (preferred but not needed)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and service techniques.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing residential and commercial plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Physical ability to perform plumbing tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:
  • Gas piping experience.
  • Water heater installation and repair experience.
  • Remodel experience.
  • Drain cleaning and sewer diagnostic experience.
  • Prior experience in both residential and commercial service plumbing.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with leak detection, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
